PROJECTS

PROJECT 1:  Delivering to Hospitals

Our main mission started with delivering to hospitals to provide a smile and some fun while children are hospitalized.  Since oure first delivery in Georgia to our most recent one in New Mexico, we continue to try to reach out to various hospitals and we like to go back and redeliver again to some of our favorites like the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital and Riley Children's Hospital in Indiana.

PROJECT 2:  Delivering Handmade Teddy Bears

This project started thanks to a Pepsi Grant we won.  We co-founded a Facebook support group to send a handmade teddy bear to children undergoing an epilepsy related procedure with TG Bears.  The support group turned into a wonderful venue for parents to ask questions, seek advice and to be there for one another.  Thanks to this grant, we were able to provide over 50% funding for 100 bears.

PROJECT 3:  Delivering to Children with Epilepsy and/or Asthma

We started this newer project in August of 2013.  To date, we have delivered over 60 stuffed animals from either Kohls Cares for Kids, Disney, Build-A-Bear or PetSmart to children across the country and one in the United Kingdom.  This Facebook support group is still young and is growing and we hope to find it as a wonderful resource for parents.

PROJECT 4:  Delivering to Ronald McDonald Houses

This one is near and dear to our hearts.  In 2008, Danielle was intubated and transported over two hours away to Savannah, Georgia.  Although the Ronald McDonald House was full and we were unable to stay, we knew that they were providing a valuable resource to other parents.  Since then, we have delivered to Ronald McDonald Houses in Georgia and Texas.

PROJECT 5:  Various

We have delivered USB medical history bracelets to the Epilepsy Foundation of Florida and local physicians in Texas.

As part of being among those that help others, we routinely donate money or our time to various other groups such as the Jessica Ridgeway Park Fund, St. Baldrick's, CURE Bear for Hope and Love and other non-profits.

We also formed a partnership with Taylor Made with Love to create felt dolls for children with epilepsy.  A portion of the proceeds are returned to Angels4Epilepsy.

PROJECT 6:  In the Works

We feel there is a missing link among children with epilepsy and the education community.  We hope to find a way to assist schools in raising epilepsy awareness.
