ABOUT US
Angels4Epilepsy, Inc. was started unofficially in 2009 and became an incorporated entity in Georgia thanks to the assistance of attorney Amanda Belloti who completed the paperwork for us in 2010. In 2011, we also became an official non-profit with the IRS. We have sense added asthma to our mission.
The girl's mission is to deliver smiles even if it's one child at a time.
In 2009, we had our first deliveries to MCG Children's Hospital in Georgia and Wolfeson's Children's Hospital in Florida. In 2010, we added more deliveries to Georgia to include the Ronald McDonald House in Augusta and in 2011, we expanded into Indiana thanks to our volunteer, Stacey Burns, who also has epilepsy and Ohio thanks to our cousin, Ruth Kidder.
We are very happy that although we don't reside in Indiana any longer, Stacey continues to deliver to the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital and Riley Children's Hospitals. We were also fortunate to have the girl's sister, her husband and their daughter continue to deliver in Georgia until they moved to Texas. They also assisted us in delivering to New Mexico and Texas this year.
We co-founded a Facebook support group that delivered handmade teddy bears to children undergoing epilepsy related procedured and in August of 2013, we founded another Facebook support group that provides a stuffed animal to a child with epilepsy and/or asthma.
Angels4Epilepsy, Inc. has won two Pepsi Refresh Grants, a Walmart Grant and has received many donations to date.
